Winter Instructional League

The Sturt Baseball Club is pleased to announce the start of a new concept during the winter for keen baseballers.

The Sturt Instructional League will be played exclusively at Sturt and we are hoping to begin with 4 teams.

All games will be played at Sturt (Norman Reserve) on Sundays with the early game commencing at 1pm and the late game commencing at 3pm. All matches will be 110 minutes long.

We are seeking expressions of interest from players so we can put the program together. If you are an existing player within Sturt Baseball Club you can record your interest by simply emailing Phil Robinson. If you are new to our club you will need to fill in the Player Registration Form. Go to http://www.sturtbaseballclub.org.au/ and click on members-registration. It is essential that you send an email as soon as possible in order for the club to organise the teams. The cut off for registrations is Monday 23rd April 2007.

The four teams will play a round robin style competition beginning Sunday May 20th and finish in August. Each side will play each other 3 times to make sure we have a 12 game season.

Games will be played on the full sized diamond.

We are seeking players 12 years or older to register.

There will be no fees for the Instructional League. There will be no training sessions during the week.

This new format is designed to help promote Junior skill development in the off-season and will be played in a very friendly environment. There will be some outstanding coaches and senior players on hand to offer advice and instruction. We encourage you to consider this opportunity for the winter season.

Any enquiries regarding the League to Tony Catt. on 0412244327.
